Hindugod99.blogspot.com is dedicated to providing quality information on Hinduism and related religions that originated in India, without belittling other religions. We aim to represent main stream Hinduism for Hindus all over the world, not just a particular community, caste or nation. We focus on the essential principles, beliefs and practices of Hinduism, not a particular version or variety, as found in the ancient scriptures.

Through our articles, books and other presentations we want to present the richness and diversity of Hinduism without aligning ourselves to any particular sectarian movement, guru tradition or practice. We respect all beliefs, gods, saints and gurus and all philosophies and sectarian approaches to Hinduism. We believe that the paths to God are many and individuals have to choose what suits them best.

We respect life in all forms and recognize each individual's inalienable right to enjoy life and liberty and pursue his or her beliefs with dignity and responsibility. However, we do not support such beliefs and practices that undermine the value of life, the institution of family or endanger the order and regularity of society, and those ideologies that denigrate religion or usurp the role of God. We believe that as far as religion is concerned, governments should mind their business without overstepping upon our religious freedom or individual liberties.

We also believe that religion is a means, not an end in itself. We pursue religion to experience peace and happiness upon earth. Our identity should not come from the religions we practice, but the humanity we represent. If religions create discord and disharmony amongst us, we believe it is because of lack of discretion and our inability to deal with our base nature.

Hindugod99.blogspot.com is now over 12 years old and growing from strength to strength. We are the earliest and the first blog on composite Indian culture representing all Indian religions. Since it was established over 20 million unique visitors visited the blog, and they keep coming. Our aim is to serve you to the extent we can. As a policy, we do not accept donations from anyone so that no one can raise a finger against us or dictate us policy.
